Full Time Position

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION of the Diesel Technician/Mechanic include:

  • Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul trucks, buses, and all types of diesel engines
  • Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics
  • Completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.

Duties of the Diesel Technician may include:

  • Reads job orders and observes and listens to operating equipment to ensure conformance to specifications or to determine malfunctions.
  • Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test-drives; adjusting controls and systems.
  • Inspects defective equipment and diagnoses malfunctions, using test instruments, such as motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges. Attaches test instruments to equipment and reads dials and gauges to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Changes oil, checks batteries, repairs tires and tubes, and lubricates equipment and machinery.
  • Adjusts brakes, aligns wheels, tightens bolts and screws, and reassembles equipment.
  • Disassembles and overhauls internal combustion engines, pumps, generators, transmissions, clutches, and rear ends.
  • Examines and adjusts protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
  • Inspects and verifies dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.
  • Inspects, repairs, and maintains automotive and mechanical equipment and machinery, such as pumps and compressors.
  • Operates valve-grinding machine to grind and reset valves.
  • Reconditions and replaces parts, pistons, bearings, gears, and valves.
  • Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Enhances service department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

LA Freightliner Fontana, San Diego Freightliner & High Desert Truck and Trailer are currently seeking Parts Countermen to accommodate our growing needs. The Parts Counter Position is a fast paced and highly visible front line position. Qualified candidates will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience either aftermarket of heavy duty truck dealerships

The primary focus of a Crossroads Equipment Lease & Finance Telesales Business Director is to design, create, and develop a telesales division.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Create a telesales business

  • Interviews and hires top sales talent at the manager, syndication/credit manager and rep level.

  • Actively trains, develops and counsels managers & staff in their professional, technical and personal career development

  • Develop incentive plans/bonus awards, promotions, and counseling of staff

  • Achievement of a profitable business in six months.

  • Develops, implements, and monitors policies and procedures for tele-sales business.

  • Supports the development of the budget, planning, and other corporate financial requirements

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in combination with required work experience

  • 7+ years Sales Management experience, w/ a minimum of 3 years in a management role managing a team of at least 3 salespeople; prior experience managing Sales Managers preferred

  • Well-versed in managing the process of new business development and growing relationships with existing customers

  • Must have solid solutions selling background· Proven success in building and developing a solid sales team

  • Able to communicate well and build successful relationships across all levels of the organization

  • Must have interviewed, coached and mentored sales reps· Proven success functioning as a selling Sales Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Crossroads Business Development Manager is responsible for soliciting finance relationships with VVG Phoenix area dealerships and their customers. The position facilitates communication with VVG dealership personnel, their end-used customers and Crossroads credit/operations teams. In addition to the below mentioned Qualifications, potential candidates will possess strong communication, organizational and writing skills and demonstrate the ability to excel and improvise in a fast paced environment.
 

  • Onsite Dealership Management - Work with Phoenix area VVG dealerships to provide finance solutions to their truck, trailer and related equipment customers. Expectation is to be on site at the dealership daily.
  • Prospecting Dealership Clients - Individually or jointly call on dealership prospects and customers. Responsible for cultivating/managing territory sales growth and relationships with dealership’s end-users
  • Business Development – All stages of establishing, qualifying, pitching and closing new leasing clients
  • Accurately track and notate progress with each Dealership Salesman and with each prospective account.
  • Key Skills required:
    o   Prospecting and developing new accounts – must have track record of successful prospecting
    o   Qualify new prospects as candidates
    o   Formulate and present proposals to clients
    o   Manage each transaction from beginning to funding
    o   Experience in successful credit application preparation and presenting the transaction internally
    o   Calculate and quote leasing or loan products to clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates successful in this position have experience in the following areas:

  1. Transportation - Knowledge of truck, trailer and titled equipment
  2. Leasing – Experience in finding, structuring and selling equipment leasing and loan products
  3. Credit – Ability to read/spread financial statements, tax returns and other financial documentation required to pre-qualify a client and understand their respective financial position.
  4. Sales – Proven experience in the selling process; experience in selling leases and in equipment finance a must.
  5. Bilingual - English & Spanish preferred
